Looking into the past – The Timekeepers

So late last night I came up with a brilliant idea for a new story and spent some time working out my plot and such today (yeah I know, I actually thought about a plot, crazy innit?) It’s a time travel story called The Timekeepers in which a group of Timekeepers must travel through history to ensure that events play out as they should. I’ve written a prologue already if you would like to have a look you can click HERE to read it. I’ve even started my research on the historical periods, starting with the Battle of Hastings, 1066. I am also hoping to delve into WWII, the defeat of the Spanish Armada, The French Revolution and the Pazzi Conspiracy to name a few. I will also be researching important historical events in Asia, Africa and South America, though I think I would only write about an Asian event, events from Africa and South America will probably just be mentioned in relation to other Timekeepers. If anyone has any ideas then just let me know.

I’ve even sorted my characters and most of their personalities, which makes a change. It also makes a change for the idea to come while I was awake. Only this and I Am Homunculus can boast that claim, everything else came to me in dreams (Between Fools and Kings was a fun dream, except I had to get a taxi to fight a dragon and there are no taxis or dragons in the story).

And this time when I say I’ll do research I mean it, because if I can do this well it could turn out to be quite good. Here’s hoping that The Timekeepers goes well.
